Good Morning. Miami Hurricanes Coach Mark Richt joined the Joe Rose Show for his weekly interview. I haven’t live tweeted one of these in a while, and I was motivated this morning (who knows why) so here is the tweetcap of the live tweets that I tweeted live.
Got it? Good.
Let’s go:
Alright. Time to knock off the dust and rust.

CMR on the Joe Rose Show live tweets starting now...
I listen to podcasts so much I forgot about all the ads on regular radio.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
This is crazy. No less than 8 commercials in a row.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
AND NOW, it's time for the Mark Richt Show on the Joe Rose Show. Let's get it.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Joe Rose says show is "trying to get connected with Mark Richt". So....who didn't pay their AT&T bill?
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Hey, there he is. Mark Richt on the line.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Joe Rose and Mark Richt exchange pleasantries to open the call.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Richt coughing a bit to start the interview. Weird.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Joe Rose asking about the mentality of the team.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016

CMR talking about Adrian Colbert, who has worked hard to come back and play the bowl game with the #Canes
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
If you thought there would be an interview where Mark Richt wasn’t asked about his thoughts on guys skipping their respective bowl games, you were WRONG
CMR on soapbox about Bowl Games not being meaningless. "It's a big deal to our players, and to me a well".
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Joe Rose leading CMR to the Draft Guys skipping the bowl games thing. Which is so over discussed but whatever.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
My internet radio stream keeps cutting out. This sucks.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Joe Rose STILL asking CMR about guy skipping bowl games.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Dead horse. Beaten.
CMR talking about this over and over again won't change his view of things. Rose just asking the same thing repeatedly. Move on.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Rose "what do you say to guys who argue they might get injured?"
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
CMR "I say it can happen any game"
(another question after that)
Boring
There's really no reason to belabor this point to this extent. We know where CMR stands on this.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Maybe talk about the bowl game? Crootin?
AND FINALLY WE MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!
Rose asking about CMR's conversations with Kaaya/Njoku.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
"We'll wait until (the game) is over."
CMR says he's more curious than they are about their decision.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
CMR "We'll talk about it and try to do the best we can for everybody".
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
CMR says Kaaya and Njoku working hard to have a great finish to this year.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
And now, Crootin’
CMR asked about recruiting. "It's going well. You don't get everybody you want all the time, but it's not over until it's over."
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
CMR says #Canes involved in several key battles going to the end of this cycle
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016

— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
CMR says OOS kids will (more often than not) reach out to Miami first before they go to target the player.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
CMR "you can't be sending your staff to try to recruit the entire state of California, or Texas or whatever."
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
CMR "we'll see guys, then reach out, and if there's a positive reaction, we'll go the distance"
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
Back to the bowl game
Back to the bowl game, Rose asks CMR about bowl prep. CMR says it's been time to look at WVU's defense (3-3-5) which he called 3-5-3
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
I think this is a good time to mention the fact that our guy Justin Dottavio wrote a great piece on attacking WVU’s 3-3-5 defense yesterday and that you should read it right now:

Back to CMR...
CMR wants team to be assignment sound. And also in good condition.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016

— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
And, just like that, it's over.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
A head’s up for later today:
Corn Elder will be on the Joe Rose Show later. I think I'm done fighting my internet stream so I won't be tweeting that one, gents.
— StateOfTheU.com (@TheStateOfTheU) December 23, 2016
So that’s that. Pretty terrible in my opinion that Joe Rose spent HALF THE INTERVIEW asking about CMR’s thoughts on guys skipping bowl games, and my internet radio stream wasn’t really being that cooperative, but whatever.
Anyways, that’s what CMR had to say. Share your thoughts in the comments below.
