The Senior Bowl is a showcase of talent prior to the NFL Draft. On Monday, CB Corn Elder, OL Danny Isidora, and S Rayshawn Jenkins all accepted bids to play in this year’s Senior Bowl.
A big congratulations to Corn, Danny and Rayshawn for earning a spot in the @seniorbowl - https://t.co/76y6qtYDM3 pic.twitter.com/vsR15nyEAe

The Trio of Canes will be among the 110 players who will play in this year’s Senior Bowl. Practices begin on January 24th, 2017, with the game being played on January 28th, 2017. All Senior Bowl practices and the game itself will be shown on NFL Network.
This will begin Corn Elder’s rapid rise up draft boards. I don’t think he’ll crack RD1, but I’ve called him “2nd round NFL Draft Pick Corn Elder” for the better part of 2 months. A strong showing at the Senior Bowl will inch us closer to having that become true.
For Isidora and Jenkins, they’re 5th year prospects who can go a long way to answering questions about their abilities moving forward. If they’re able to have strong showings, as many Canes seniors have before them, then they should see their NFL fortunes affected in a positive manner, as well.
For those looking at the snubs for the Senior Bowl, WR Stacy Coley has to be high on that list. While he’s had injury concerns in college and a terrible sophomore slump after an outstanding freshman year, it’s crazy to me to think that Coley couldn’t even get an invite to the Senior Bowl.
The same argument could be made — but with less conviction — for S Jamal Carter and CB Adrian Colbert. Both have the physical profile to be NFL players, but each has had issues (consistency, injuries) in the past.
Congratulations to Corn, Danny, and Rayshawn. Now, go to Mobile and show out. Just like Canes do.
