Martin was a late name to pop up on the radar for this class, having only been offered on January 24th. Martin's connection to Miami is clear: he was committed to play for DL Coach Craig Kuligowski when the latter was at Mizzou. When Kool was not retained by the Tigers, and made his way to Coral Gables, that immediately piqued Martin's interest.
Martin is the 3rd DL in this class, joining early enrollee Pat Bethel and Joseph Jackson at the position. He's the first DT to join this class.
The talented Alabama native Martin chose Miami over South Carolina, Jacksonville State, and others.
