A stout 6'8" 285lb athlete, Johnson is the kind of developmental tackle that's a perfect fit in this class. Miami took 6 OL in the 2015 class, and return the top 10 at this position group for the 2016 season. Johnson adds depth to this vital position group, and could develop into a nice player down the road.
Johnson chose Miami over his previous commitment to Illinois, and offers from East Carolina, Cincinnati, and FIU.
