Every single road ACC win is huge.
And the 'Canes got another big time victory tonight, with a 67-65 win over Florida State in Tallahassee.
Sheldon McClellan led UM with 20. Davon Reed chipped in with 14, and Angel Rodriguez 11, including two huge triples down the stretch when FSU was rallying.
Miami led by as many as 13, but the young Seminoles kept fighting back.
FSU even had a chance to win, but a last second three by freshman Dwayne Bacon was well off the mark.
The Hurricanes controlled much of the early action, and took a 37-26 lead to the intermission.
But the final 20 minutes would prove to be hectic, as Devon Bookert, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, and Bacon hit a number of big shots in the final 20 to make things stressful for UM.
But McClellan cooly knocked down his free throws, and the big shots by Rodriguez would prove to be just enough.
The 'Canes improved to 9-3 in ACC play, just one game back of conference leader UNC.
Miami completed the sweep tonight of Florida State in the season series.
Next up they host Virginia Tech on Wednesday at 8 PM.
UM is undefeated so far this season at home in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
Much more on tonight's win and Miami Basketball coming up right here on SOTU.
