Updates starting now
Canes add 2 commits
Looking to add depth and talent along the lines, Miami added OL Tre Johnson and DL Tyreic Martin to the 2016 recruiting class yesterday. You can read their Welcome to the U pieces below..

Canes miss on 3 targets
Other announcements on Monday were not favorable for Miami.
JUCO WR Javon Wims elected to stay with his commitment to Georgia. The ready-to-play receiver would have been nice to have in the class for Miami as they look to build depth at that position.
WR Nate Johnson elected to stay with his commitment to Michigan. I never thought Johnson was coming to Miami, but I thought he was going to Notre Dame instead. Oh well.
WR Kelvin Harmon committed to NC State over Miami. Not a surprise. Miami has bigger targets at this position, and despite a prediction run on Harmon to Miami, I never saw that one coming.
Tuesday announcements
There are several announcements for Miami fans to pay attention to today. And they are:
4-star CB Tyler Byrd. Arguably the top player in Miami's class, Byrd will announce his college destination, either Miami or Tennessee, sometime between now and National Signing Day. Byrd has maintained his commitment to Miami throughout this process, but Tennessee has made a late push.
4-star S Romeo Finley. The top uncommitted defensive target for Miami, Finley's recruitment is a 3-way race between Clemson, Georgia Tech, and Miami. Georgia Tech was thought to have a slight lead according to reports heading into last weekend. But, after a solid visit to Coral Gables, any of his finalists could realistically get the 6'1" 210lb Finley in their class.
Richards trending up?
The top target on the board for Miami is 4-star WR Ahmmon Richards, a 6'2" 170lb superstar from Wellington, FL. Over the last few days, multiple reports have Richards to Miami trending positively.
Whether it is Peter Ariz from CanesInSight.com reporting it, or multiple recruiting writers for sites such as Rivals, Scout, ESPN, and 247Sports tweeting or writing or predicting this commitment, there is something from a source you probably trust saying that Richards to Miami is becoming more likely.
In short, Richards to Miami is trending up, and, if that holds true, would be one of the biggest recruiting wins of the year for Mark Richt and his staff.
Richards will be making his commitment on ESPNU on National Signing Day.
