Swag Class '16 Player Profile: Jeff James

Edge's nephew looking to bring some old school swag to the UM secondary.

One of the very first faxes to come in this morning came from Orlando Olympia DB Jeff James.

James (6-1, 175) is the nephew of former UM star running back Edgerrin James.

But that is not the only reason he drew the attention of College Coaches everywhere.

James picked off 9 passes his senior season of H.S (his first season playing the sport).

And while he may not be a 4 or 5 star guy, he has the look of a major sleeper.

Some Highlights Below:

;

Summary: James will need some time to develop into a good D1/ACC Safety.  He has the ball skills and athleticism to do so, but he will need more experience playing the sport.  This is a goo pick up from a developmental standpoint. James will likely redshirt as a freshman.  But he has good size to go with aforementioned skills above.  You might not hear from him right away, but down the line he could be a major factor in the UM secondary.
