Miami continued to built the 2017 recruiting class on Monday when Miami Southridge WR Rodney Scott committed to the Hurricanes
Miami's new commit Rodney Scott is a technician at the WR position. Elite hands and body control. Red zone target #Canes— Peter Ariz (@PeterAriz) March 7, 2016
This is another big get for Mark Richt and staff. Miami Southridge is LOADED with talent, and the Canes continue to lock down players from that school. Miami now has 4 Southridge players committed in the 2017 class, with Scott joining TE Kemore Gamble, S Billy Gibson, and RB Bentavious Thompson, who recently transferred to Southridge from Miami Killian.
Scott, who performed well at The Opening's Miami Regional on Sunday, is a very good player who will add depth and talent to the WR position. As noted in Peter Ariz's tweet, Scott has great hands and great body control, both of which he uses to with great success. Also, he has moves on moves, which this poor defender learned during the WR vs DB "Oklahoma" drill on Sunday.
Scott chose Miami over offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, and Georgia, among others. He is the 11th commit to the Hurricanes' 2017 class. You can see his HUDL highlights below:
