2016 Canes signees arriving in Coral Gables today

The help that has been "on the way" since they signed in February will begin to arrive in Coral Gables this weekend.

4-star WR Ahmmon Richards is one of several 2016 signees who will be arriving on campus this weekend.

The 2016 recruiting class was a solid one for Miami. Several of the recruits, the QB of the future (Jack Allison), a trio of linebackers who figure to play from day 1 (Shaq Quarterman, Michael Pinckney, and Zach McCloud), and a legacy DE (Patrick Bethel) have been on campus and with the team since January. But, there's more on the way.

With Summmer Session 1 starting classes on Monday, several other 2016 signees are making their way to Coral Gables this weekend. They'll be moving into the dorms, getting their Cane Cards, and becoming the newest enrollees at The U. This is the group that's on the way now:

4-star RB Travis Homer

4-star S Romeo Finley

3-star JUCO WR Dayall Harris

3-star OL Tre Johnson

and 4- star WR Ahmmon Richardswhom I listed as the most important recruit of the previous cycle.

So, after this weekend, 10 of the 19 2016 signees will be on campus and fully integrated into the program. The remaining players, WRs Sam Bruce and Dionte Mullins, TEs Jovani Haskins and Michael Irvin II, DLs Joseph Jackson and Tyreic Martin, and DBs Jeff JamesMalek Young, and Cedrick Wright, will be arriving for Summer Session 2 (starts June 27th) or later.

*Strikethroughs above explained/updated below:

As per his father's twitter, Michael Irvin II is arriving on Sunday and will begin classes on Monday.

Here's the full list of arrivals as per Christy Cabrera-Chirinos of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, whose tweet says the list came directly from UM.

Joseph Jackson, thought to be a Summer B enrollee, is confirmed on campus today for Summer A session per this tweet from UM Staffer Jorge Baez

And this tweet from Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post

But, whether it's today or in a month and a half, much needed additions to the roster are coming, Canes fans. And that's a good thing.
