The Miami Hurricanes got a nice addition to the 2017 recruiting class when 4-star ATH DeeJay Dallas (Brunswick, GA) announced his verbal commitment on Twitter.

Dallas is a known commodity for Mark Richt. Hailing from Georgia, Dallas was committed to UGA back in July 2015. He decommitted from UGA in December, 2 weeks after Richt was officially fired by the Bulldogs.
That connection between Coach and Player continued once Richt relocated to Coral Gables. Richt quickly made Dallas a top target for this class, and dispatched multiple coaches to visit him during the Spring Evaluation period. Add in the fact that Dallas made multiple trips to Coral Gables since Richt's hiring and his seemingly endless string of Canes related tweets (trust me, there are MANY OF THEM), and it was easy to see that this commitment was coming.
I'm just gonna scream DEEJAY DALLAS in the DJ Khaled all the time, TBH.

On the field, Dallas is a multi-talented player who could end up at a number of positions in college. A HS Quarterback (i.e. the best athlete on his HSFB team), Dallas could play WR, DB, or RB at the next level. And, according to a report by one recruiting writer, Dallas could end up playing multiple positions at Miami.
Don't count out the possibility of Deejay Dallas playing both ways at Miami. Something that is being seriously considered. #Canes

Dallas brings great athleticism and speed to the Canes 2017 class, both traits that Mark Richt has said this team needs more of. The 4-star recruit uses his physical gifts with great success. He was named 1st team All-State in Georgia 5A classification at ATH after a stellar junior season.
A highly coveted player in the 2017 recruiting class, the 4-star Dallas committed to Miami over the rest of his named top 5: Alabama, Georgia Tech, Michigan and Oregon, and a total of 32 claimed offers.
Dallas is the 15th commit in Miami's 2017 recruiting class, and the 2nd highest rated player of that group. He is the second ATH committed in this class, joining 3-star ATH Christopher Henderson (Miami, FL). Henderson projects to play DB at the collegiate level.
