Well, Canes, it comes down to this. Every game until the CWS Finals, should we get there, is an elimination game. As one of just a handful of teams to win 50 games this season, Miami has the ability to put a run together and get to the Championship Series.
While 1 run was enough to beat UCSB in their opener, I doubt it will be enough today. The Canes offense will need to play like it did for most of the year, not that abysmal showing from Saturday night. Would help if the strike zone was consistent both ways, tho. (that’s all I’m saying about that).
2016 CWS results
Miami: lost opening game 5-1 to Arizona
UCSB: lost opening game 1-0 to Oklahoma State

Win and the season continues.
Lose and the season's over.
Let's hope this ride continues for another day.
