DJ Ivey commits to Miami. Corner with speed and length from South Dade. Has a lot of Artie Burns in him #Canes - https://t.co/8NlXjKsxNB— Peter Ariz (@PeterAriz) June 25, 2016
Ivey told several websites that he considered committing to Miami on the spot when he was offered, but instead took a few days to think it over. In the end, the decision was the same, and now he's a Cane.
Ivey is a very talented player. With many elite national prospects at DB locally in the 2018 class, the fact that Miami offered and accepted a commitment from Ivey speaks volumes about his game, and how Miami views him.
Ivey is the 6th commit in the 2018 class. He is the 5th DB to commit in this group.
