The 2016 recruiting class for the Miami Hurricanes was more an exercise in quality than quantity. The group, heavy on players who should be impact players in time for the Canes, has been slowly making their way to campus.

Early Enrollees QB Jack Allison, LBs Zach McCloud, Michael Pinckney, and Shaquille Quarterman, and DE Pat Bethel have been on campus since January. They were joined by a large contingent of players who enrolled for Summer Session A back in May. That group included WR Ahmmon Richards, DE Joseph Jackson, and RB Travis Homer. The full details for that enrollee group can be found in the link on the right.

As for today's enrollees, the vast majority of the 2016 class will finally be on campus. But, before we get to that list, there are 2 players who won't be on campus now: WR Dionte Mullins and DB Cedrick Wright. Citing UM sources, Matt Porter of The Palm Beach Post reported that Miami expects both Mullins and Wright to be joining the team by the start of fall camp in August.

Now that that's out of the way, here are the players that are coming to campus today:

4-star WR Sam Bruce

3-star ATH Malek Young

3-star TE Jovani Haskins

3-star DL Tyreic Martin

3-star S Jeff James (Nephew of Canes legend Edgerrin)

Other Arrivals

While those are the 2016 signees who are arriving today ahead of Summer Session B, there are other players who are coming to Coral Gables today. According to this report by Matt Porter of The Palm Beach Post, additional enrollees are as follows:

  • FB Marquez Williams
  • Walk-on snapper Jake Muñoz
  • Walk-on linebackers D.J. Washington and Shawn Walker
  • Walk-on QB Tucker Beirne

So, there you have it Canes. Nearly all of the 2016 signees and transfers are enrolled. Obviously, waiting on Mullins and Wright is going to be a test of patience, but good things come to those who wait. And hopefully, that wait for both those players ends in August.
