Is an extremely talented and athletic player who has shown flashes in limited game action.
But could be poised for a break out campaign this coming season:

Natural pass rusher has also added a lot of strength and conditioning, and worked on his run stopping abilities.
Summary: With Chad Thomas and Al-Quadin Muhammad ahead of him, he may not be a starter. But this kid is far, far too talented to not see much more game action in 2016. His freakish athleticism should fit in nicely with Coach Manny Diaz' attacking scheme. And Jackson is just the kind of raw player that DL Coach Craig Kuligowski has a track record of molding into superstar defensive linemen. Now that he is 250 plus, he should also be able to contribute for 3 downs on series where AQM or Thomas need a rest. Bottom line, sky is the limit for Demetrius Jackson. It's hard to project statistics for a player who still has no track record for on the field production, but it's also difficult to not be excited about DJ's potential. Anywhere from 5-7 sacks, and an equal number of TFL's are realistic goals for the RS Sophomore. If he can consistently flash his talent this season, it could build to even bigger and better things in the years to come, and perhaps a bright future at the next level as well. Jackson is that talented, and he is in a perfect spot to develop under Coach Kool.
