Recruiting is all about relationships. No relationship is stronger than that of family. And, for Miami, a familial relationship paid off on Thursday morning when 3-star WR Evidence Njoku, brother of burgeoning star TE David Njoku, committed to the Canes.

The younger Njoku is a very solid recruit in his own right. Evidence is a 6'4" 185lb WR with very good ball skills and above average athleticism for a kid his size. He's not the physical freak his brother is, but he's got more than enough athleticism to be a factor in years to come.
The Cedar Grove, NJ native who recently transferred to Wayne Hills (hometown of former Canes TE Greg Olsen) visited Miami for a week earlier in the spring. That trip served two purposes: to spend time with his brother during his spring break and as an extended unofficial visit. Seems as though that was a win-win for everybody at this point.
Coming off a junior season that saw him catch 18 passes for 306 yards and 5 TDs, Evidence is looking to have an even larger impact on games in his senior season as he moves to a more competitive program. He committed to Miami over offers from Rutgers, Penn State, Tennessee, and others. Njoku is the 4th WR commit for Miami in the 2017 class, joining Deejay Dallas, Rodney Scott and Kevaughn Dingle at this position group in this class.
