Joseph Jackson
DE - 6'5 245 Freshman - Miami, Fl (Gulliver Prep)
Absolute specimen of an athlete was a composite 4 star recruit coming out of Gulliver Prep, where Class of 2016 UM teammates Cedric Wright and Dionte Mullins also attended (same school as the late/great Sean Taylor as well).

Was also recruited by Michigan, Alabama, Florida, and Clemson among others.
Interestingly when asked what NFL player he resembles, compares himself to JaDaveon Clowney (Scout.com).
And while that may be a bit premature, his raw physical tool set/potential is off the charts.
Summary: This kid's first step, burst, and motor are already scary good. Once he learns how to use his hands, and adds a little more bulk to his frame, Jackson has a chance to be phenomenal. He might be the most underrated prospect in Miami's Class of 2016 when all is said and done. This year, he has a chance to sit and watch talented DE's like Chad Thomas, Al-Quadin Muhammad, and Demetrius Jackson work. But I would not be shocked if he sees some action, and a RS is not necessarily a foregone conclusion. It will all depend on how well he accounts for himself during fall practice. Down the line, he projects as a potential All-Conference maybe even an All-American type player. He's a bit raw right now, but with Craig Kuligowski coaching him up and his natural talent, he'll go as far as his work ethic takes him. Considering he also told Scout that he wanted to study engineering in Coral Gables, definitely seems to have a good head on his shoulders. If that translates to the practice field and he is a quick learner, you may see Jackson between the hashes sooner than expected.
