On Thursday afternoon, Miami Hurricanes P Justin Vogel was named to the Ray Guy Award watchlist.
This award, given annually to the Nation's Best Punter, would be a wonderful award for the talented Vogel.
Coming off a strong season in 2015, Miami will look to Vogel and his big leg to change field position in the punting game. Vogel is also the holder on extra points and field goals, a role that he excels at. With his solid work as holder, K Michael Badgley had a very successful 2015 season, and because of it wasnamed to the Lou Groza Award Watchlist earlier today.
Vogel, who averaged 42.5 yards per punt in 2015, is one of 28 players on the Ray Guy Award Watchlist. Canes fans and award voters alike can get their first glimpse of Vogel in the season opener vs Florida A&M University on September 3rd.
