Another day, another Miami Hurricanes daily digest. Starting now.
adidas set to unveil updated jerseys....I think
So, there’s been lots of talk about the Miami Hurricanes jerseys. Some, like me, love the design. Others, like many of you, do not. Adidas has reportedly been working to streamline the design in a “more traditional” way with the goal of having the updated design field ready by mid-season. If this tweet is any indication, those may be coming sooner rather than later:
There is a championship legacy woven into everything we do.

“Woven into”, you say? Sounds like some savvy pun work hinting at a jersey unveiling, in my humble opinion. The event, set for 5pm Monday, September 19th, would be an hour before Hurricane Hotline — Miami’s weekly Monday radio show featuring various coaches and players — and held in The Rat on campus. There isn’t anything definitive about this being the jersey unveiling, but man, it sure SEEMS like this is what’s gonna happen next Monday.
If this unspecified event is the updated Jersey Design unveiling, then next week will see both the Jerseys being unveiled (Monday) AND the reported announcement of the new Indoor Practice Facility (Friday). I know next week is a bye week from a game, but there should be PLENTY for you to follow, Canes fans.
Stay tuned.
Appalachian State is really, really hyped for this game

#relieving (that’s twitter parlance for a spelling error. yes, I’m playing grammar police)
Just gonna keep passing these along so we can look back on them on Sunday.
And a couple words for Appalachian State:
Be careful what you wish for.
The New Era
Our Ale Narciso is working on a documentary (several actually, but we’ll just focus on this one) about the Canes. He dropped the first preview video on Twitter yesterday and it’s LIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTT!!!!! Can’t wait to see what comes next. Check it out.

Scouting the rest of the Canes landscape
Several commits had big games in HSFB week 3. Check out the full recap here.
Devin has your ProCanes week 1 recap. Great stuff, as always.
SOTU Phorographer Mike Seay has your full photo gallery from the FAU game.
Have we already seen the high point of the 2016 season? Mike Grunewald evaluates the situation. Agree or disagree?
Craig T. Smith’s Monday Musings surveys the College Football landscape, and gives his take on a couple Canes-related topics, to boot
Lastly, I joined Mark Rogers to preview the Appalachian State game. I played sick on the video (nasty head cold), but can’t let that keep me down. Watch and enjoy.
That’s it for today. Make it a great one, Canes.
