MORE bad news ‘Canes fans.....
As if Miami needed more on the injury front, Sam Bruce is out “indefinitely” with an undisclosed injury (lower extremity).
Bruce was already going to the miss the first three games with suspension.
But now we have to wonder if this guarantees a redshirt.
We’ll have more as we learn it.
Here’s the release from UM:
CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Freshman wide receiver Sam Bruce sustained a non-football related injury to his lower extremity. Miami team doctors are still evaluating the extent of his injury. He will be out indefinitely.
Updates:
Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post updated his piece on this. Porter cited a source who said Bruce could be out for the year with his injury.
Christy Cabrera-Chirinos of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel updated her piece on this. Cabrera-Chirinos cited a source who said that Bruce’s injury is a broken leg.
So, if you put those 2 updated reports together, Sam Bruce reportedly has a broken leg that could keep him out for the year.
Oh, and there’s finally been a report of how the injury happened. Here’s Susan Miller Degnan of the Miami Herald...
.@MiamiHerald was told by sources that Sam sustained the severe injury playing hoops last night.
