The season has come and the season has gone. Week 17 of the 2016 NFL season has concluded and with that, we will provide our final regular season installment of the ProCanes NFL recap.
Frank Gore
GOAT! Frank Gore broke the coveted 1,000 yard mark for the season in the Colts’ regular season finale in Jacksonville. He finishes the season with 1,025 rushing yards, 277 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns.

The 1,000-yard season is Gore’s ninth of his career. His NINTH! Only three times in his 12-year career has gore not rushed for more than 1,000 yards. Simply amazing for someone his age. Congrats again, Frank!
Vince Wilfork
Wilfork wasn’t in any statistical headlines, but there is a story of note on his front:
NT Vince Wilfork says he is going to consider retirement after the season. First time he's given thought to it. Nothing definitive yet
— Jane Slater (@SlaterNFL) January 3, 2017
IF this is Wilfork’s final season, he will go down as one of the best interior defensive lineman to ever play the game. He finished the season with 21 total tackles as a backup/situational lineman. Wilfork, in his 13th season out of The U, won two Super Bowls with the Patriots and accumulated 559 tackles and 16 sacks for his career.
Devin Hester
#proCane KR Devin Hester has been signed by the #Seahawks after being released by #Ravens in December.

Devin Hester signed with the Seahawks so they can get some stability and some explosiveness in their return game for the playoffs. As a Ravens fan, Hester was not good this season with his lack of big plays and indecisiveness as a returner. Hopefully Hester makes an impact on his new team!

That’s it for the regular season, folks! News of future ProCanes Brad Kaaya, David Njoku and Joe Yearby declaring for the NFL Draft are the big stories as of late, and it will be fun watching our ProCanes dominate in the playoffs (as usual). See you guys next week and GO CANES!!!
