Miami Hurricanes Recruiting: Recruit Recap from HSFB Week 8

The HSFB season rolls along

Week 8 has come and gone. Let’s see how our boys are doing.

Lorenzo Lingard, University (Orange City)

University came out with a very nice win last week after taking a tough loss to Oviedo the week prior. Lingard and co. move forward with a 34-21 win over Winter Springs.

Brevin Jordan, Bishop Gorman (NV)

Bishop Gorman 64, Desert Oasis (NV) 0. Rinse and repeat.

John Campbell, Dr. Phillips (Orlando)

Dr. Phillips had a very solid game this week, beating Freedom (Orlando), 35-8.

Cam Davis, Miami Carol City

On national T.V., Carol City came up short, but not without a great effort by Cam Davis. Carol City lost to Miami Northwestern in this one, 16-7.

Al Blades Jr., St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale)

The Raiders faced off against cross-town foe, Fort Lauderdale in what was an easy, 49-7 win.

Gilbert Frierson, Coral Gables

After a tough loss to Booker T. Washington, Coral Gables rebounded with a strong showing against Miami Coral Park, winning 45-0.

DJ Ivey, South Dade

South Dade got to face Miami Killian last week in a game that they dominated, 47-7.

Cleveland Reed, Fort Meade

Fort Meade has a short memory. A week after getting blown off of their own field against Avon Park, the Miners turned in a 48-0 win over Tenoroc (Lakeland).

Will Mallory, Providence (Jacksonville)

Providence is now on a two-game winning streak. After a more than slow start to the season, Mallory’s squad beat the Episcopal School of Jacksonville, 61-13.

Nesta Silvera, American Heritage

In a local Broward game, American Heritage had a surprisingly tough time against Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale). 23-19 was the score in a narrow win.

Bubba Baxa, Pasadena Memorial (TX)

Pasadena had the offense going in a really strong win over local opponent Sam Rayburn, 51-7.
