Let’s take a look at how our commits are doing as the October season approaches.

Lorenzo Lingard, University (Orange City)

University took care of business last week with a 40-21 win over Lyman (Longwood) on the road.

Brevin Jordan, Bishop Gorman (NV)

Bishop Gorman was able to enjoy playing a second-straight Las Vegas opponent. Who got shut out this time, you may ask? Well, the victim was Spring Valley (NV), of which fell 65-0 to Jordan’s team. Bishop Gorman is now beating local competition by a score of 123-0.

Artur Sitkowski/Brian Hightower, IMG Academy (Bradenton)

For the second time in as many weeks, IMG played a school from Miami. This time it was Miami Northwestern. Northwestern could not get anything going all game and ultimately fell to IMG Academy with a score of 21-0.

Mark Pope/Daquris Wiggins/Delon Scaife, Miami Southridge

Our trio of commits from Southridge finally got back to action last week. It was not an easy opponent to come back to, having to face Miami Palmetto, but our boys got the job done in an impressive 32-7 win.

John Campbell, Dr. Phillips (Orlando)

John Campbell and Dr. Phillips secured a big win on Friday against Oak Ridge (Orlando), 41-6.

Cam Davis, Miami Carol City

On a Wednesday night showcase, Carol City had yet another shut out, this time 54-0 over Hialeah-Miami Lakes.

Al Blades Jr., St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale)

Last Friday was not the best of nights for St. Thomas Aquinas. After a 44-0 win over Stranahan the week prior, the Raiders fell to Centennial (AZ), 12-0.

Gurvan Hall, Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens rebounded well last week after a tough loss to Dwyer on September 22nd. Gurvan’s squad beat Jupiter 27-3.

Gilbert Frierson, Coral Gables

Frierson had quite a game on special teams in a 35-0 win over Miami Beach. He returned two punts for TD’s in this one.

Cleveland Reed, Fort Meade

Fort Meade was not on their game against Lakeland Christian last week. They are now on a two game losing streak after coming up short in a 35-0 loss. They will play Avon Park this week.

Will Mallory, Providence (Jacksonville)

Providence came up just short for the second week in a row, losing to Lake Highland Prep (Orlando), 35-28.

Gregory Rousseau, Champagnat Catholic

Champagnat Cathlic was able to get a second-straight lopsided win, this time against Everglades Prep (Homestead) in a 45-0 win.

Josh Jobe, Cheshire Academy (CT)

Cheshire kept the train moving with a 35-14 victory over Brunswick (CT). This week, Jobe will face Suffield.

Not in action: DJ Ivey, South Dade, Nesta Silvera, American Heritage, Bubba Baxa, Pasadena Memorial (TX)
