Combo-guard Dejan Vasiljevic from Melbourne, Australia returns to Miami for his sophomore campaign with hopes to shine bright for the Hurricanes this season.
Vasiljevic made an appearance in all 33 games for the ‘Canes during the 2016-17 season. He averaged 6.0 points and 1.3 rebounds during his freshman season. He was almost automatic from the free-throw line shooting 80 percent.
His international career experience playing in FIBA World Championships has contributed to his confidence on the court and his offensive production.
The guard holds two top spots in Miami’s record books. He is No. 1 in 3-point field goals made (51) and No. 1 in 3-point field goals attempted (146) for a freshman.
The sophomore also handles business on and off the court.
He was a proud member of the Book Buster Honor Roll (3.0+ GPA) during his Spring 2017 Semester.
Vasiljevic plans to assist his teammates using his offensive skills and help Miami make a run in the Coastal.
