Late on Saturday night/Early on Sunday Morning, the Virginia Tech Hokies official twitter account tweeted that next week’s Miami-VT game would be in primetime on ABC.
UPDATE: this game information was confirmed in a tweet from University of Miami Athletic Director Blake James on Sunday morning.
It was also tweeted by Deputy Director of Athletics Jenn Strawley
This was even further confirmed by the Canes Football twitter account on Sunday morning

This fits for this game and these teams. With a combined record of 14-1, Miami and VT are the top teams in the ACC’s Coastal Division. This game is a defacto ACC Semi-final game, with the winner in control of their own destiny to win the Coastal Division.
We’ll update this piece when the official announcement from The ACC and/or ESPN is made, but the fact that VT’s official twitter account tweeted this leads me to believe that this is the correct kick time and TV coverage.
Additionally, if this is the correct game information (and it was tweeted by VT and subsequently reported by Miller Degnan and doubly confirmed by UM AD James, so I feel comfortable saying that it is), then I fully expect Miami to break out the “Miami Nights”/All-black/Murk Squad unis for this week’s game. Forget what those look like? Good thing I love you and I have pictures for you right here. (all images from Adidas)
Big game on deck. No matter when it is, you better find yourself at Hard Rock Stadium to support The U.
