Good Morning ’Canes fans. It’s time for your Miami Hurricanes news and notes for Monday, October 9th, 2017.
Game time announced for next week’s Georgia Tech vs Miami Match-Up:
Miami Athletic Director Blake James broke the news that the Yellow Jackets at Hurricanes game will kickoff at 3:30pm. A week after knocking off rival Florida State, the 4-0 ‘Canes will face the triple option of 3-1 Georgia Tech on ABC midday. This is plenty of time for you to go to the gym, cook something amazing, and then settle onto the couch for the last warm days of just turned fall.
Next Saturday vs #BeatGTech will be at 3:30. #LetsGoCanes

Mark Walton is out for the season
Mark Richt has announced that Mark Walton will have season ending ankle surgery. The junior running back looked much slower and less explosive all afternoon against the Seminoles and it was obvious he wasn’t himself.

Walton has 2,006 career rushing yards and 28 touchdowns from scrimmage over two and a quarter seasons in orange and green. We all wish him a speedy recovery and this could mean he returns for 2018 to help Miami win a national title.
Matt Porter wrote about Walton here
Anticipated depth of the Miami running backs was summed up by our own leader Cam Underwood on Sunday:
Walton gone for the year hurts.
