HSFB gets into the meat of the 2017 season

Here are our week 7 results:

Lorenzo Lingard, University (Orange City)

5-Star RB Lorenzo Lingard had himself quite a game last week. He showed a flash of why he will be so instrumental to Miami’s success in the future. He rushed for 358 yards and 4 TDs!!! His TD runs went for 2, 58, 73 and 80 yards each.

Despite his outstanding showing, University fell to Oviedo 50-49. The Titans will play at Winter Springs on Friday.

Brevin Jordan, Bishop Gorman (NV)

As has been the case for the last few weeks, Bishop Gorman rolled past local competition. The Gaels beat Clark (NV) 56-0.

Artur Sitkowski/Brian Hightower, IMG Academy (Bradenton)

IMG continues to roll as they moved past Venice last week to move to 6-0 on the year.

Mark Pope/Daquris Wiggins/Delon Scaife, Miami Southridge

Cam Davis, Miami Carol City

In a Cane vs Cane match-up, it was RB Cam Davis who came out victorious. Southridge had a tough time keeping up after a lopsided win over Miami Killian last week. Miami Carol City took this one, 44-0.

John Campbell, Dr. Phillips (Orlando)

Dr. Phillips was shut out this week in a disappointing 14-0 loss to Wekiva (Apopka).

Al Blades Jr., St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale)

St. Thomas Aquinas got back on the right foot last week in a 14-0 win over Deerfield Beach at home. This week, the Raiders will play Fort Lauderdale on Friday.

Gurvan Hall, Palm Beach Gardens

In a close game, Palm Beach Gardens came up short, 35-28 in Pahokee against the Blue Devils.

Gilbert Frierson, Coral Gables

Coral Gables was tasked with facing a tough Booker T. Washington squad last week. They put up a solid effort, but did not come away with a win in a 34-21 defeat.

DJ Ivey, South Dade

South Dade continues on with their incredible showings on the defensive side of the ball. On the year, South Dade is holding opponents to 5.3 points per game. They took this one, 37-7.

Cleveland Reed, Fort Meade

Fort Meade dropped to 3-3 on the year in a 41-7 loss to Avon Park.

Will Mallory, Providence (Jacksonville)

Providence got the biggest win of their season, so far, last week to the tune of 47-0 against Wolfson (Jacksonville).

Nesta Silvera, American Heritage

American Heritage was back in action this week and continues to dominate. Silvera got a 42-3 win over Stranahan (Fort Lauderdale).

Gregory Rousseau, Champagnat Catholic

Champagnat Catholic moved to 6-1 with a 32-0 victory over Miami Edison.

Josh Jobe, Cheshire Academy (CT)

The Cats got another big win in a 35-5 showing against Suffield (CT). Jobe will be in action on Friday against St. Joseph.

Bubba Baxa, Pasadena Memorial (TX)

Pasadena Memorial got a 38-13 win over Dobie (TX).
