Welcome to the U, Leonard Manuel

A 5-star talent with skills to match!

The Miami Hurricanes turned their 41-8 win over Notre Dame into immediate recruiting success on Sunday when 2020 5-star WR Leonard Manuel committed to The U.

The 6’4” 200lb Manuel is already a top-tier player. He attends Ocala (FL) Vanguard HS. If that name sounds familiar, it should: that’s the same school at which 2017 signee QB N’Kosi Perry starred.

Manuel and Perry only played together in HS for one year, but their connection was a major factor in Manuel’s decision to commit to Miami.

While he’s just a sophomore, Manuel is a big get for Miami. He’s every bit of a 5-star caliber player, and his combination of size and skill is rare. As of today, Manuel already holds offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan, and many others. Manuel was committed to Tennessee for a time, but that wasn’t going to last.

Manuel is the 2nd commit in Miami’s 2020 recruiting class. He joins 4-star S Avantae Williams — the cousin of 5-star 2018 RB commit Lorenzo Lingard — as commits in that class.

For an idea of the kind of player Manuel is, here are some highlights:
