After some struggles coming from Bruce Brown, Dejan Vasilijevic picked up the slack and lead the offense with 16 points and shooting 5/10 from the field.

The sophomore guard bounced back after a modest shooting performance in the seasons opener against Gardner-Webb after missing his first 10 of 12 shots. On Sunday night he made half of his shots that he attempted.

Anthony Lawrence finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds, as Ja’Quan Newton with 14, Dewan Huell with 14 and 10 rebounds, and Ebuka Izundu had 12 with 4 rebounds. According to ESPN.com the Hurricanes only had three game last season when five players had scoring in the double figures. This year their first two games they have accomplished just that.

Vasilijevic performance helped lift Browns struggle with three points and only 1 for 10 from the field. Brown, projected to enter the upcoming NBA draft has been himself the first two games. However, its only been two games. Bruce Brown has a long road ahead of him and many more games to find his rhythm.

Jim Larañaga and the Hurricanes conclude their first three game homestead against Florida A&M on Thursday Nov. 16 at the Bank United Center.
