Dewan Huell notched the first double-double of his career to help the Hurricanes move to 2-0 and remain undefeated.

Huell’s double-double outburst helped Miami dominate in the paint, outscoring Navy 50-26.

The sophomore was a force in the paint scoring 14 points and hauling in 10 boards, matching his career high with rebounds.

Huell was excited to help Miami get an 89-55 victory over the Midshipmen.

When asked if he plans on recording more double-doubles in the future, Huell said, “Yes, first of many.”

The forward’s size and athleticism allow him to be a consistent presence for the ‘Canes on defense. He has shown flashes that he can a force for the offense if he continues to elevate his play.

Huell is coming into his own and expects to continue to contribute to the Hurricanes. He plans on being a dominant presence in the frontcourt protecting the rim and scoring buckets.
