Five Canes scored in the double digits, led by Anthony Lawrence and Bruce Brown with 14 apiece.
“They [the players] share. They are not afraid to give it [the ball] up,” Said UNF head coach Matthew Driscoll. “This group is very deep and they’ve got a lot of options.”
Miami was very methodical all afternoon. A 16-2 run from roughly 15 minute to the 7 minute mark in the first half formed the base for a 15 point halftime lead.
Chris Lykes also contributed with 10 points off the bench, a personal best for him. Despite his diminutive stature, Coach L is very high on his skillset.
“It’s not about hight, it’s about heart. Bruce Lee is 5 foot 7. Tom Cruise is also 5 foot 7. I think they are pretty good at what they do. Those guys handle their business very much like Chris Likes does.”
“To me it’s not about height, but it’s about heart,” Jim Larrañaga says about 5’7” freshman Chris Lykes. pic.twitter.com/0iUkHGtFgX
