Coming at No. 13 in the AP Top 25 and No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Hurricanes look solid once again in Coach Larrañaga’s 7th season with the team. Bringing new guys like Lonnie Walker IV, Chris Lykes, Deng Gak, Miles Wilson, and Sam Waardenburg can aid this team deeper into March as in possibly the Final Four.
Currently Miami has a 50-1 odds to win the NCAA title according to ESPN.com. According to vegasinsider.com the Canes have a 70.2% chance to make the tournament, mostly will be seeded 4th going in, 10% for an automatic bid, a 6.6% to make the Final Four, and a 1.5% to be national champs.

With a strong returning back court duo Ja’Quan Newton and Bruce Brown will be joined by incoming five star guard Lonnie Walker IV and the four star guard Chris Lykes. Incoming sophomore Dewan Huell needs to step up in the paint due to the departure of Kamari Murphy. Coach Larrañaga has been really close to the Final Four with this program over the years.
With Duke and North Carolina being the big dogs of the ACC Miami has been making its case lately being the team to beat in the conference. Miami opens up their conference play at Pittsburgh on December 30th at 4:00pm on ACC Network.
