On Sunday The Nike Open Regionals made its way to Davenport, FL. I was there and I walked the premises keeping my eye on Miami commits and targets.
Lorenzo Lingard- Many have already labeled him as the ambassador of the class. When I got a chance to speak with him I asked if if he was recruiting in between drills. Yeah, I’ve been working.” He also said he was solid to Miami and had no other visits in mind. In between recruiting for the Canes and he also earned an invite to the Opening in Oregon over the summer.
Daquris Wiggins- The Southridge WR is an impressive looking athlete with strong hands and a route technician. At 6-2 180 he ran a 4.64 40. He was also asked about his commitment to Miami and said he wants to be part of the team that gets his city a championship.

Mark Pope- Daqurius Wiggins teammate at Southridge was also out there and put on a show. When asked about his junior day at Miami, which was the day before the event, he seemed really excited about Miami. When asked if Miami leads he confirmed that they did.
Elijah Moore- The St. Thomas Aquinas WR earned a trip to Oregon as well after a day where he did not seem to lose a rep. He holds an offer to Miami but there are reports that it may not be a commit-able one. Miami seems to be going after bigger (in terms of size) targets this cycle after taking Mike Harley and Jeff Thomas in the 2017 class. Keep a close eye on this situation.
Artur Sitkowski- There was a lot of buzz about the 6-4 220 pound quarterback that recently transferred to IMG Academy. His sophomore tape is special but a lot of people will point to his Junior stats as a red flag. He struggles a bit when he is asked to roll out of the pocket. Inisde the pocket he is very robotic in the way he operates. It is almost as I just want to tell him to just let it rip. He made some WOW throws out there against coverage. He has the size and the tools. He will have plenty of weapons at his new school so keep an eye on him. He is visiting Miami this weekend with some of his teammates and Lorenzo Lingard amongsht others. I recently put in a Crystal Ball for him to Miami and will not be surprised if he commits as soon as this weekend.
Warren Thompson- Yes, please. The 6-4 196 pound WR out of Armwood is everything that is advertised. Creates seperation with ease and attacks the football with hands in effortless motions. Last offseason he commited to the Canes for about a half an hour. It was reported that his mom had him decommit from that verbal shortly after making it. Canes are still on him along with UF, FSU and North Carolina. I believe if we can get the parents on campus then we will have a shot. We are kind on a holding pattern here but know the staff will keep him as a top target going forward.
Dennis Briggs Jr.- Dennis Briggs visited Miami on junior day where he earned an offer. I like Briggs and look for him to grow and move inside at the next level. I put a Crystal ball in for him right before he recieved that offer and look at this as a matter of time type of commitment.
These are just a few guys I kept an eye on this weekend and will see more this weekend for the Miami Regional. This is getting to be a lot of fun to be in the conversation for so many big time targets all while landing stars in the meantime.
Comment with anyone you might want to hear from that will be at the Miami Regionals this weekend and we will see what we can do.
