The Miami Hurricanes got another boost to their 2018 recruiting class today when 4-star WR Brian Hightower committed to The U!

A top 40 player in this recruiting class, Hightower is an elite playmaker and a huge get for Miami. At 6’3” 202lbs, Hightower has the size that Miami is looking for at receiver. Not only does Hightower have size, he has speed and athleticism too, which can be seen at any time during game action, and you can get a glimpse of here:

Hightower is an elite player and a big recruiting win for Miami. WR coach Ron Dugans has been building a rapport with Hightower for the better part of 2 years, and that relationship paid of in today’s commitment.

A Los Angeles, CA native, Hightower attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. He is around top talent at IMG, and has seen his recruiting take off since transferring from the West Coast. Already committed to play in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American game, Hightower has also earned an invite to Nike’s elite recruiting camp: The Opening, held in July.

The IMG connection paid off for Miami with Hightower, who joined newly transferred 4-star IMG QB Artur Sitkowski in committing to Miami. There are several other IMG alums on the Miami Hurricanes’ roster, including OT Tyree St. Louis and DE Scott Patchan. With many top talents from Florida and around the country on their roster, getting more IMG players to come to Miami can only be seen as a good thing, in my opinion.

Hightower picked Miami over a list of 32 offers, including Clemson, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, UCLA, and USC, among others. He is the 2nd WR to commit in the 2018 recruiting class, joining Miami (FL) Southridge standout Daquris Wiggins at this position in this class.

For a better idea of the player Miami is getting in Hightower, you can see his HUDL highlights below:

WELCOME TO THE U, BRIAN!!!!
