A standout player at Palm Beach Lakes (FL), Hall has long been at the top of Miami’s board for Safeties in this class. The 6’1” 185lb Hall is a major P5 prospect, and getting him in this class is a big, big win for Miami.
A top 160 player on the 247sports composite, Hall is the kind of talent that Miami should be getting in this, and every, class.
Many have taken notice of Hall’s prodigious talents. Alabama head coach Nick Saban famously landed his recruiting helicopter at Palm Beach Lakes recently to speak to and personally recruit Hall.

That’s cool and everything, and thanks for coming by, Nick, but Gurvan Hall is taking his talents to Coral Gables. Thanks for stopping by the school, buddy!!
Hall, who has been a staple for Palm Beach Lakes’ defense over the last 2 years, was named a 1st team All-State player in Florida’s 7A classification. Hall starred for Lakes at both Safety and Receiver, but his future is most decidedly on the defensive side of the ball. Miami has been building a relationship with Hall for quite some time, and that obviously paid off with today’s commitment.
Hall is the 7th DB commit Miami’s 2018 recruiting class. He joins 4-star Josh Jobe, 4-star Gilbert Frierson, 3-star Demetrius Ivey, 3-star Randy Russell, 3-star Thomas Burns, and 3-star Jalen Patterson at DB in this class. Hall picked Miami from a list of 30 offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, Florida State, and Michigan.
