Forward progress for the IPF, you guys!

The Carol Soffer Football Practice Facility is one step closer to being a reality.
Miami Athletics

On Thursday afternoon, Miami Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt announced the upcoming groundbreaking for the Carol Soffer Football Practice Facility.

This new facility will house 2 fields — an 80 yard field and a 40 yard field — along with connecting to the Squillante Strength and Conditioning Center, 20,000 sq ft Football Operations office, with coaches offices overlooking the IPF fields. There will also be 6 position meeting rooms, the Head Coaches suite, 3 coaches conference room, a “first class” recruiting suite with lounges and meeting rooms, and a state-of-the-art video center.

This is something that will be a big addition for Canes Football. Here is our piece on that announcement from last September:

With groundbreaking set for Star Wars day (May 4th), Miami takes a big step into a brave new world of football facilities.

More on this in the coming days.
