On Thursday afternoon, Miami Hurricanes head coach Mark Richt announced the upcoming groundbreaking for the Carol Soffer Football Practice Facility.

This new facility will house 2 fields — an 80 yard field and a 40 yard field — along with connecting to the Squillante Strength and Conditioning Center, 20,000 sq ft Football Operations office, with coaches offices overlooking the IPF fields. There will also be 6 position meeting rooms, the Head Coaches suite, 3 coaches conference room, a “first class” recruiting suite with lounges and meeting rooms, and a state-of-the-art video center.
