I got a chance to go and see The Jambori at Palm Beach Lakes highschool last week. Palm Beach Lakes, Deerfield, and Miami Central were all there. There were coaches from all over the country in attendance including Ron Dugans and Manny Diaz. There was a ton of talent to be watched. The big names for the 2018 class were Miami commit Gurvan Hall, FSU commit James Cook, Oklahoma’s Miguel Edwards and uncommitted linebacker Rosendo Louis. I, of course, was there to see Gurvan Hall.
The 4-star Miami commit plays both sides of the ball for Lakes. We are taking him as a safety and he made some plays from that spot. He also was part of a defense that gave up some big plays. I am not too concerned though. Lakes was killed in the trenches by Miami Central and there wasn’t much that Gurvan could do to stop it. Don’t be surprised if he switches schools in the summer.
I went to see Gurvan but it was Rosendo Louis that caught my eye while I was there and it seemed like he caught Manny’s too. He was a monster for the Deerfield defense. He was in on almost every play on the defensive side of the ball.
Miami looks to be in good shape for Jamien Sherwood and David Reese at the moment for linebacker in Storm18. Sign me up for Rosendo Louis and lets wrap that position up. The 4 star Linebacker has stayed close to the vest on his recruitment. We will see how this plays out.
