Every week I have been dropping a positional big board of the recruits I want for Storm18. Today I want to do an overall list with my top 5.
5) Dennis Briggs-DT (6-4 252 lb)
As strong as the 2018 class is we are currently sitting at just one defensive tackle in the class. Not only is he a need but he is also a beast his 3-star ranking does not reflect his on the field play on the field and I believe that will be fixed in during the season. 247 crystal balls have him 100% to Miami at the moment.
4) Tyreke Johnson- S (6-1 191lbs)
Johnson a hard hitting safety out of Trinity Christian in Jacksonville would fit in perfectly with what Coach Banda has brought in during his time at Miami. Johnson’s recruitment has been weird. Early a lot of buzz was that he was heading out of state. Now UF seems to be heavily in the mix. Coach Richt has always had success in Jacksonville and it hasn’t stopped since he got to Miami. Johnson was also at Miami’s Spring scrimmage in Boca 2 weeks ago. Currently there are no crystal ball predictions for him to Miami.
3) Al Blades- CB (6-0 170 lbs)
From all accounts Blades is already helping Miami recruit for this class and he is on. He is as important to this class off the field as he is on it. He carries a lot of weight in the area and would be great for the locker room. This is just a matter of time. Crystal balls are 100% Miami and anything else would be a shock.
2) Micah Parsons (6-3 235 lbs)
The DE from Harrisburg, PA just recently decommitted from Penn State and looks to be leaning toward Ohio State. I have a source that was at the New Jersey regional that said Miami has a real shot here. After I got that call then Parsons named schools he would like to visit before making a decision and Miami made the list. We have the best defensive line coach in all of the land, Coach Kugliowski, and kids know that. Lets get him on campus before we get excited but he will come in at number 2 for me.
1) Tyson Campbell CB (6-2 180)
You’ll be hard pressed to find a better secondary in high school than the one they have at American Heritage. My unpopular opinion is that Campbell is the best one of the duo. He has crazy track speed to go along with great hips, feet, and ball skills. He should be the number 1 priority going forward. He has always been rumored to LSU. I believe that Miami is closing the gap. I put in my crystal ball for him last week and think we get it done. He is currently 38% on Crystal Balls to Miami.
Honorable metion:
David Reese
Jamien Sherwood
John Campbell
There is my list what is yours?
