On Thursday morning, news broke that 2017 signee Jon Ford is now fully cleared and enrolled at Miami.

This is huge for Miami. Not only does it mean the entire 2017 signing class is enrolled and on campus, it also adds a talented player at a position of need in the near future.
With juniors RJ McIntosh and Kendrick Norton potentially leaving school early for the NFL Draft after this year, and with senior Anthony Moten being in his last season of eligibility, the Canes could potentially lose 3 of their top 4 DTs after this season. Getting Ford — a player with great size and strength — on campus this year to work with coach Kuligowski and develop his talents is big for the future, as Ford will likely be one of the players asked to step into a major role in 2018, even moreso if McIntosh and/or Norton leave school early.
Ford has a wealth of talent. If you’ve forgotten that, or didn’t know that, here’s my Recruit Notebook from NSD about Ford:
