247sports reported that Miami took Brown as a DT, and that’s a big get. At 6’5” 310, Brown has great size for the position and will join a deep and talented DL in Coral Gables in the years to come.
Adam Lichtenstein of the Palm Beach Post spoke to Brown and confirmed that he will in fact play DL at Miami.
Renato Brown told me he will play defensive line at Miami, which he chose over Florida, South Carolina and more.https://t.co/wTz41iMJ2G

Already holding early offers from Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina, Brown decided to stay close to home and commit to the Canes. Formerly at Oxbridge Academy (as you can see in the lead art for this piece), Brown is just the latest player from the 561 to commit to Miami.
Miami is now up to 6 commits in the 2019 recruiting class. Brown joins WR Brieon Fuller, DT Derrick Hunter, OT Brandon Cunningham, LB Diamante Howard, and LB Jesiah Pierre in the 2019 commit group for the Canes.
For a look at the player Miami is getting in Brown, you can look at the HUDL highlights below.
