Almost all of Miami’s 2018 commits were back in action for week 5. Let’s see how they did.

Lorenzo Lingard, University (Orange City)

Lingard’s University High team got to get back into action in Altamonte Springs, FL against Lake Brantley. Lingard had a monster game in the 35-21 win, with 192 yards and 2 TD’s, one in the first quarter and then another in fourth (a 95 yard run). On Thursday, University will travel to Longwood, FL to square off against Lyman.

Brevin Jordan, Bishop Gorman (NV)

For the fourth straight game, Brevin Jordan has scored a TD as he continues to push for a fifth star. Bishop Gorman played their first game of the year against a fellow Las Vegas team and came away with a big time 58-0 win (40-0 in 1Q).

John Campbell, Dr. Phillips (Orlando)

Dr. Phillips had a very solid day, taking down Mainland (Daytona Beach) 20-0 to stay undefeated. On Friday, Dr. Phillips will take on Oak Ridge (Orlando).

Cam Davis, Miami Carol City

In yet another blowout for a Miami commit, Cam Davis went to work against Dr. Krop (Miami) for a 54-0 victory. He finished the game with 2 TD’s.

Gurvan Hall, Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens is still trying to find their footing as a back-and-forth season continues. They lost to Dwyer (West Palm Beach) this past week, 33-25.

Gilbert Frierson, Coral Gables

Coral Gables was tasked with taking on Miami Palmetto after two weeks of canceled games. The Cavaliers were just out of reach in this game, coming up just short, 33-30.

DJ Ivey, South Dade

In a low scoring affair, it was South Dade and DJ Ivey’s defense that took home the win, 14-7 against Miami Jackson.

Cleveland Reed, Fort Meade

Fort Meade was unable to defend the home turf in what was an 18-3 loss at the hands of Lake Wales.

Artur Sitkowski/Brian Hightower, IMG Academy (Bradenton)

IMG Academy resumed play this week against Miami Central, who took down Bishop Gorman on September 8th. IMG did not have the easiest of times throughout this contest. Future Miami QB, Artur Sitkowski, moved off of the field and onto the sideline in the 2nd quarter after going 5-13 for 10 yards with 2 INT’s. He also hurt his shoulder during the game. Despite the mess that is portrayed over the last few sentences, IMG crawled away with a 24-15 comeback win on the shoulders of star RB, junior Trey Sanders.

Will Mallory, Providence (Jacksonville)

Providence continued on their 4 game skid with an 18-13 loss to North Florida Christian (Tallahassee). They are still in search for their first win of the season.

Nesta Silvera, American Heritage

Three week break? No problem for American Heritage. The Patriots continue marching onward on their dominant season after a 41-13 win over Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood). American Heritage is now 4-0.

Gregory Rousseau, Champagnat Catholic

After a loss last week, Champagnat came back and won triumphantly, 41-0 against Keys Gate Charter (Homestead).

Josh Jobe, Cheshire Academy (CT)

Cheshire Academy is now 2-0 after a 43-17 win over St. Thomas More (Oakdale, CT).

Bubba Baxa, Pasadena Memorial (TX)

Pasadena Memorial came out on the wrong end of a 61-15 score against Pearland (TX).

Not in action: Mark Pope/Daquris Wiggins/Delon Scaife, Miami Southridge, Al Blades Jr., St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale)
