With the reportedly torn patella tendon, the reshirt sophomore QB’s season would be over. That changes the complexion of the FSU offense moving forward, but it should be said that the Seminoles do still have a very good defense.
After the game, FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said that true freshman QB James Blackman would be the guy if Francois was out for extended time. That time is now, so it seems Blackman is the guy.
There will be more discussion about this on SOTU — NEXT WEEK during FSU week — our SBNation sister-site Tomahawk Nation, and pretty much anywhere that college football is discussed.
For us, for now, just remember that Francois is out per the report, and we’ll dive into that during FSU week.
