The early games are done (or wrapping up for the 3:30pm kicks), and now we transition our focus to the marquee game of the day: #2 Clemson Tigers at #12 Virginia Tech Hokies.
Both teams have started this season strong, with Clemson standing 4-0 (2-0 in ACC) and Virginia Tech 4-0 (0-0 ACC). Both teams have marquee-type wins in the first month of the season, with Clemson having beaten Louisville and Virginia Tech having beaten West Virginia.
This is a game I’ll be watching closely. Virginia Tech is Miami’s biggest threat in the ACC Coastal division, and Clemson could be the team from the Atlantic Division to play in the ACC Championship game. Yes, we all HOPE that Miami would be Clemson’s opponent in the ACCCG, but we’re a long way away from that. Still, it’s worth watching and seeing how each team has progressed to this point of the season.
Also playing in the Primetime window: Mississippi State-Auburn, Ole Miss-Alabama, Oklahoma State-Texas Tech (there’s gonna be a million points in this game, the O/U is 84!!!!), and more.
