The early games are done, and now it’s time for Primetime.
There are 2 games leading the way in this late window: Mississippi State Bulldogs at LSU Tigers, and Oregon Ducks at Washington State Cougars.
We’ve seen them up close and personal this year, but LSU is 6-1 (including a win over then-ranked Miami) and ranked 5th in America. Mississippi State, on the other hand, is 4-2 and looking to catch LSU slippin’ after their big win against Georgia last weekend. This should be a dogfight, with plenty of cowbell.
As for the West Coast came, ESPN’s College GameDay finally went to Washington State FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! I know they’d been waiting for years for that to happen, and are will be on an emotional high, at least to start the game. Both teams are 5-1 and 2-1 in the Pac-12 North, so this game has huge implications for both teams. Wazzu is going to throw the ball, while Oregon, under new coach (and Miami alum) Mario Cristobal, is quietly supersizing the offense left by Chip Kelly and Mark Helfrich. This should be an entertaining shootout, at a minimum.
Also playing in this late window: ranked teams #10 UCF, #21 USF, #2 Urban Meyer’s team, #14 Kentucky, USC-Utah, Arizona-UCLA, and Hawai’i (if you’re REALLY up late and want to see a team pass for 937 yards tonight).
