3 point favorites on BetOnline
That's 5 or 5.5 point movement from opening in just hours.
Seems the early bettors have faith in Miami to cover the original line, plus a good bit more.
Original Story
Once listed as favorites in every game on the schedule in 2018, the Miami Hurricanes have underperformed that expectation, and now find themselves as an underdog for the first time this season.
Heading into Friday Night’s road game against the Boston College Eagles, the Miami Hurricanes are 2.5pt underdogs, according to VegasInsider and BetOnline.
Boston College opens as 2.5pt favorites at home against #Canes this Friday nigh per VegasInsider

The foundation for this line isn’t hard to comprehend. Miami has been struggling on offense, lost to a mediocre-at-best Virginia team 16-13 a week ago, and benched their more talented QB in favor of moderately-talented Malik Rosier.
ON TOP OF THAT, Boston College is playing at home, on Friday night, and hosting their annual Red Bandanna game, a tribute to a former BC athlete who saved lives before giving his own during the terror attacks at the World Trade Center on 9/11.
So, take bad performance on one side, a special primetime game on the other side, and that’s how you get to Boston College -2.5 points.
I’d like to say I disagree, but at this point, the line makes sense. Miami has to show and prove the ability to score points consistently, regardless of opponent.
So, there you have it. Time to get to work and ruin their celebration with a win on the road.
