A couple quick Canes notes for you on this fine Sunday afternoon:
Canes open as 7pt favorites over Duke
For another week, Miami, who was billed to be favored in every game this year, continue s that streak by opening as a 7pt favorite over Duke for homecoming on Saturday.

That didn’t exactly work out well in either of the last 2 games, but hey, it’s a new week so maybe this time?
Mark Richt announces Malik Rosier to remain Miami’s starting Quarterback
On his Sunday phone conference, Mark Richt announced that Malik Rosier will remain Miami’s starting Quarterback.
Mark Richt just said Malik Rosier will remain as the starter for Duke.

"He gives us the best shot."
This is comical at this point. And continuing to state that Rosier gives Miami the best chance to win insults the intelligence of anyone watching the games. It also directly contradicts Richt’s previous statements about N’Kosi Perry’s ability and standing with the team — there can be no reasonable person who, after seeing Rosier’s performances, can honestly surmise that he is a better option than Perry.
If this is unstated discipline for Perry, then just say it and move on. My thoughts on this are well known, but if you missed them, I’ll quote myself yet again:
It has to be Perry or Williams at QB next week for Miami. It simply has to be. It is unacceptable, a travesty, and coaching malpractice to continue to play Malik Rosier. Period.

Yeah. That.
Have a great Sunday night.
