It’s gameday. Miami at Georgia Tech. The season might be a mess but against against an opponent like GT, who have proven pesky but beatable in the last few years, Miami could right the ship. Or not. Following the men’s basketball team’s first win, a dub over Lehigh, 83-62, Canes’ fans can only hope that the football team follows suit.

Miami has announced that junior big man Dewan Hernandez, after returning to school following flirting with the NBA, is out as his eligibility is investigated. Although Miami was cleared from the federal probe into several big-name basketball programs, it seems the dark cloud of the NCAA will still hang over the Canes, at least for a little longer.
