Week 13 Lines and Picks

Where did the season go???

NCAA Football: Miami at Virginia Tech Lee Luther Jr.-USA TODAY Sports

Season totals:

Single-game picks: 53-46-2

Teasers: 4-14

Parlays: 3-9

Wow, hard to believe we’re in the last full week of the regular season. The brevity of the season helps make college football a weekly celebration...and the offseason such an endless and boring stretch. It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride in the picks segment.....unfortunately with the latter half of the year being a free fall. However, we’ll try to finish strong here in Rivalry Week.

Lockity Lock of the Week

Arkansas at MIZZOU (-23.5)

How this line isn’t in the 30s is amazing to me. Arkansas probably isn’t even the best team in the state of Arkansas. Drew Lock has a career day.

Other Lines I Like

TEXAS (-16) at Kansas

KU flashed some offense last week against OU, but....who hasn’t??? Horns won’t be caught unfocused, with a trip to the Big 12 title game on the line.

OKLAHOMA (-3.5) at West Virginia

Speaking of Big 12 title game, the winner of this game is in as well. I trust Kyler Murray here, who is playing out of his mind. West Virginia won’t recover from getting their guts ripped out last week.

Michigan at OHIO STATE (+4.5)

I’ve picked wrong on the Buckeyes all year. If I pick wrong on them again, then Harbaugh finally breaks through against Meyer. I think he will, but in a squeaker.

NOTRE DAME (-11) at Usc

I mean.....have you seen the Trojans play lately? Clay Helton’s last hurrah will be a whimper, as Irish clinch a CFP spot in a romp.

East Carolina at CINCINNATI (-17)

Let down game for Bearcats won’t outweigh Pirates’ incompetence.

KENTUCKY (-17) at Louisville

UK hasn’t been blowing anyone out, but Louisville can’t avoid getting blow out by anyone. Something has to give, and it’s the puny Cardinal “defense”, if you can call it that with a straight face.

Pittsburgh at MIAMI (-5)

Pittsburgh, by all accounts, should win this game. Especially with JT4 gone. But Richt will smarten up (I hope) and repeat last week’s offensive game plan, and the Canes will pull off a surprising win to help pull the program, at least temporarily, out of its ridiculous nose dive.

Teasers of the Week (6-point shift)

STANFORD (-1) at Ucla; FLORIDA (-) at Fsu

NC STATE (-1) at Unc; UTAH STATE (+9) at Boise State

Minnesota at WISCONSIN (-4.5); OREGON (-13) at Oregon State

Parlay of the Week

TEXAS (-16) at Kansas; Arkansas at MIZZOU (-23.5); OKLAHOMA (-3.5) at West Virginia
