Welcome to the U, Jakai Clark

Miami has an OL commit, you guys!!!

New Miami OL commit Jakai Clark
247sports

The Miami Hurricanes began the process of rebuilding their 2019 offensive line class when Loganville (GA) Grayson 3-star Jakai Clark flipped from the Illinois Fighting Illini and committed to Mark Richt’s Canes.

A player who profiles as a Center in college, Clark has plenty of talent, and is a good get for Miami. To begin this cycle, Clark was committed to the Auburn Tigers for a time. He and they parted ways, which led to him committing to Illinois. But, when Miami came calling recently, things switched up for Clark again, and now he’s committed to The U.

While he may not be the top-tier premium national name many Miami fans are looking for on the OL, Clark is a good player from a top notch HSFB program. And, he’s another Georgia native coming to Miami, which helps reinforce Miami’s clear and present plan to add the Atlanta area to the list of places where the Canes will have a strong recruiting presence.

To this point, Clark is the only OL committed to Miami. The players previously committed at this position group were either dropped or flipped elsewhere. Miami will continue to recruit other players at this position group to join Clark on the roster.

For a better look at the lineman Miami just got, take a look at Clarks HUDL highlights below:
