Just putting this quick hitter up so y’all don’t say I ran away or hid from the subject.
In the aftermath of Manny Diaz’s departure to Temple, Homestead (FL) South Dade teammates CB Jaiden Francois and S/LB Keyshawn Washington, both 2020 recruits, have decommitted from Miami.
Please respect my decision.... pic.twitter.com/VwAkxKhAhD

I’m officially De-Committed from The University Of Miami...No interviews
— Keshawn Washington (@KeshawnW_5) December 13, 2018
Francois had arguably the best season of any player in SoFLA this year, with a record 12 interceptions, which has led to his recruiting profile and ranking rising recently.
Washington, a Safety who could grow into an LB, had a strong season as well, though his numbers weren’t as eye-popping ans Francois’s were.
The pair are HS juniors, so even with their decommitments today, Miami can and likely will re-engage the talented duo once a new Defensive Coordinator is named.
As always, we wish Jaiden and Keyshawn the best in their future endeavors. But, for this one, it feels like an intermission, not the final credits of their recruitments.
