After announcing his finalists on Monday morning, Brooklyn (NY) Canarsie 4-star DE Adisa Isaac committed to Penn State over Miami at noon today.

A 6’5” 220lb DE, Isaac is the #1 rated player in the State of New York. He was a terror on the field for Canarsie, and has the athleticism and skill to be a very good player at the collegiate level.
While it’s great that Miami was a finalist, especially considering the considerable recruiting effort DL coach Jess Simpson has put into NY through the second half of this cycle, missing out on Isaac is by no means a death knell to Miami’s DL recruiting in 2019.
The Canes are still heavily engaged with several talented Defensive Ends. 4-stars Khris Bogle (Ft. Lauderdale/Cardinal Gibbons), Lloyd Summerall (Lakeland) lead the way, and Justin Eboigbe (Forest Park, GA) also has an offer, but he’s likely to stick with Alabama (a shocker, I’m sure).
Miami has a commitment from the #2 player in New York — 4-star DT Jason Blissett — and is working on Christ the King teammates DT Jared Harrison-Hunte and OT Adam ElGammal as well. So, suffice it to say that Miami still has plenty of targets at DE, and from New York to chase after.
All the best, Adisa.
